"I first realised just how ridiculous this attitude to such an integral part of a woman's body was years ago when I was editing a popular women's magazine. No one in the office liked their boobs – not a one – and so, I decided, we all needed to get a grip. We grabbed a female photographer and shot every woman on the magazine naked from chin to waist, myself included, and published the shots next issue.

What we saw on that double page spread of "real" breasts (a couple of sets were implants and even then their owners worried they didn't feel "real" enough) was that all boobs are different and, even when disenfranchised from their owners, beautiful. Suddenly, some girls were proudly pointing out which were theirs to colleagues. By revealing our racks we all felt liberated and, what's more, normal."
